Day 1 of of 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari: Arrival – Kigali

Upon arrival at Kigali International airport you will be met and transferred to Kigali Marriot hotel for overnight you will be booked at this hotel on bed and breakfast upon arrival in Kigali you will have the Kigali Genocide Memorial on the 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari. (Please advise the arrival time for your flight in Kigali so we can arrange better).

Day 2: Kigali – Volcanoes National Park via Musanze

You will be picked from your hotel after breakfast, thereafter drive to Musanze the home of Mountain Gorillas, golden monkeys and hikes on your way going you will be having time to discover, view Rwandan Landscapes and also visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus. A multi acre eco-friendly facility adjacent to the Volcanoes national park designed to serve as gateway to the conservation efforts towards protecting Mountain gorillas, the place is full of her stories and research work, and you will enjoy very interesting Gorilla conservation stories in this campus, drive to the lodge, check in, have your lunch then relax enjoying property amenities. Day 3: Full Gorillas Trekking/ Volcanoes National Park

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the home of mountain Gorillas, the Volcanoes National Park headquarters – Kinigi to meet your 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari guide for the day. After completing park formalities, you will embark on a once in a life time experience of trekking the mountain gorillas. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend one hour watching them do their daily activities.

Then you will return to the starting point and drive to your hotel for lunch and later go for an afternoon Cultural experience at the Gorilla Guardians former Iby’iwacu culture village center, get entertaining history, music and stories of Rwanda and their ways of life and feel free to participate in their traditional dances. Retire and back to the hotel for dinner and rest.

Day 4: Volcanoes – Kigali – Kilimanjaro Airport

Depart Volcanoes National Park to Kigali and depart to Kilimanjaro.

Journey Time: 2 – 3 Hours. After an early breakfast at the lodge, check-out at 8:00AM and start off a transfer to Kigali Airport for the flight to Kilimanjaro International airport, arrival in Kilimanjaro where you will be met and drive to Arusha for overnight at Gran Melia Arusha on bed and breakfast. Day 5 of 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari: Arusha – Tarangire

Today you will be will be met by your 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari guide and start the driving to Tarangire national park. Tarangire National Park is almost 3000 sq km in size and is probably best known for its huge numbers of elephants and baobab trees. The name of the park comes from the Tarangire River which crosses through the park.

Tarangire is especially spectacular during the dry season (June – November) as wildlife concentrations rival that of the Serengeti (since enormous populations of elephants and other animals are drawn to the Tarangire River as their only source of water). With its varied habitats and permanent water in the Tarangire River the park is home to over 2000 elephants and 500 bird species.

Day 6 of 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari: Tarangire – Serengeti

Today after the breakfast you will start the driving to Serengeti National Park the home of great migration, passing through the highland of Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you can have stop at the Ngorongoro Crater View point before proceeding to Serengeti national park for the afternoon game drive.

The Serengeti National Park is the world’s last great wildlife refuge as it contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which take part in a seasonal migration that is one of nature’s wonders. The area covers 14,763 sq kms and the name Serengeti comes from the Maasai ‘Siringet’, meaning endless plains.

After breakfast, you will start the full day of game drive in Serengeti national park. The Central Serengeti offers superb game viewing all year round due to its abundance of resident animals. Specifically, the Seronera River Valley in the Central Serengeti is a ‘must see’ on every 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari regardless of the specific month of travel.

Game viewing in Central Serengeti is at its best during the dry season (June – November) as resident animals are more concentrated in the immediate area due to the lack of water on the plains. Resident herbivores include impala, buffalo, hippo, warthog, topi, hartebeest and giraffe. Resident carnivores include lion and leopard.

Day 9 of 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Today you will have the half day game drive in Serengeti National park, enjoy the wildlife game drive in this side of Serengeti before drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area later on the day.

There are several documented resident lion prides just within a one-hour game drive radius from Seronera. During the dry season, the resident prides begin to shift west and north in their territories and concentrate in the central region of the park. The dry season is a particularly good time for lion viewing in the Central Serengeti?

The Central Serengeti is also one of the best areas in Africa to spot the elusive leopard. You may be lucky enough to encounter this majestic cat in the branches of the sausage trees that dot the banks of the Seronera River.

Day 10 of 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari: Ngorongoro – Zanzibar

Today after the breakfast you descend into the crater for a crater game 14 Days Rwanda Tanzania Safari. Often called the eighth natural wonder of the world, the Ngorongoro Crater is the largest intact crater in the world. About 2 million years ago the Ngorongoro volcano erupted, and its walls collapsed.

The volcano floor sank to create a natural enclosure with its 600m tall walls. Now, at over 19 kilometres wide, Ngorongoro Crater is filled with great areas of acacia forest, hippo filled swamps and open grasslands. These different habitats contain over 30,000 animals – including elephants, warthogs, flamingoes, magnificent birdlife, the rare black rhinoceros and all the predatory cats.

Day 11: Zanzibar Stone Town

At 9am you will be picked from the hotel and taken on a Stone Tour which will take you through fabled Stone town, where history appears to stand still. With visits to the house of wonders, the palace museum (People’s Palace), Dr Livingston’s house and the Arab fort amongst others, it is a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar. You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques.

After lunch, you will be taken by boat to Prison Island to see the turtles and you have snorkeling. Later after all excision you will drive to Hotel Riu Jambo All Inclusive.

Nungwi, or Ras Nungwi, is a large village located in the far northern end of the island of Zanzibar. With a population of 30,762 (2022 census), Nungwi is the second largest settlement on the island.

It is situated in the Nungwi Ward in the Kaskazini A District of the Unguja North Region. It is about 35 miles (56 km) north of Zanzibar Town [7] on the Nungwi Peninsula, about an hour drive from Stone Town.

To the south Nungwi shares a border with the neighboring Matemwe- and Tazari village.
