Day 1: Pick Up and Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Our professional guide driver will pick you up from the airport and brief you about the whole trip and the events of the day with your safari. After the briefing, you will continue with your drive to Kibale Forest National Park with a stopover for lunch in Fort Portal.

You will proceed to your lodge in the national park and check-in; you will have the whole afternoon depending on the time of arrival to relax as you enjoy the breeze of the environment and freshen up as you wait for the evening to have your dinner and then overnight stay.

You have a busy day ahead so usually advised that you sleep early to have enough rest in preparation for the following day activities

Day 2 of 4 Days Primates Tour Uganda Birding Safari: Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Semuliki National Park

Your day will kick off with a morning breakfast meal at your lodge; our professional guide will pick you up and drive you to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about your chimpanzee trekking activity by the park officials.

You will move into the forest with the help of the ranger guide allocated to you by the office. Search for the chimpanzees until when you find them. Upon finding them, you will be allowed to spend a maximum of an hour with them (the chimps) in their natural environment. Take as many pictures as you can during this interaction time not forgetting to turn off the flashlight of your camera!

During the process, you will also be in a position to spot other primates in the forest such as the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, I’hoests as well as various bird species. You will return to the lodge. Have lunch and check out.

Your guide-driver will transfer you to Semuliki National Park where you’re likely to arrive at the park in the evening or late afternoon. check-in at your lodge and freshen up. Later you will have dinner and rest as you wait for the following day!

Day 3 of 4 Days Primates Tour Uganda Birding Safari: Visit The Hot Spring and Nature Walks

You will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for the next activity which is visiting the hot springs. The hot springs are among the major attractions in the national park and they consist of the male hot springs and female hot springs. You will enjoy eggs boiling in the hot springs among other activities while at the park.

You will break back to the lodge after this experience to have lunch and freshen up then hit the road in the afternoon for a nature walk in the national park during which you will enjoy your natural surroundings on foot. After engaging in the activities for the day, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay!

Day 4 of 4 Days Primates Tour Uganda Birding Safari: Transfer Back to Kampala/Entebbe

After having a relaxed breakfast at the lodge, you will check out. It’s now time to hit the road back to Kampala. There will be a stopover in Fort Portal en route for lunch.

After lunch, you embark on the drive to arrive in Kampala in the evening. If your flight is this very day, then your guide will transfer you back to Entebbe for your departure flight!
