Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park.

Upon your arrival, our professional tour guide from Rwanda will pick you from Kigali International airport or your hotel in Kigali City and transfer you to Nyungwe forest national park for Chimpanzee trekking activity.

On your way, you can opt to visit Kigali memorial center and have a stopover at Nyanza palace and there will also be a lunch stopover en-route to Nyungwe forest national park. Checking in at the lodge where dinner will be served and overnight stay.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to volcanoes national park

Early morning breakfast will be served at the lodge before you proceed to the Nyungwe forest national park headquarters for the briefing at around 8 am. After all the briefing is done, the Chimpanzee tracking expedition will kick off where also you will have a chance of spotting over 13primate species, 275 bird species all along during the trek.

Once you spot the chimpanzee family, you will be permitted to spend up to a maximum of an hour with them in their natural habitat, you should ensure the camera flashlight is turned off as you take the photos.

After chimpanzee tracking in the forest, you will return to the lodge for lunch and after lunch be transferred to Volcanoes national park. Check in to the lodge where also dinner will be served and overnight stay as you prepare to encounter more adventures on the following day.

Day 3: Gorilla tracking in volcanoes national park and back to the airport.

This day will kick off with morning breakfast before proceeding to Volcanoes national park headquarters. While at the offices, briefing about the code of conduct while in the forest will be conducted and thereafter trekkers will be grouped into smaller groups.

Tracking mountain gorillas lasts up to 2-8 hours depending on the gorilla movement patterns in a given period you will be allowed to stay with the animals for only one hour when you encounter them. After the successful tracking, you will return to the lodge for lunch. After lunch, our guide will drive you back to the airport for a departure flight.
