Day 1 of 5 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda Kidepo: Transfer to Kitgum

The first day of your 5 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda Kidepo safari will be basically spent on traveling given the fact that the journey requires about 11 hours; you will therefore be picked up as soon as possible to start the journey. Your journey to Kitgum will start at 7:00 am after an early breakfast meal. Kidepo Valley National Park is far placed in the countryside and located in the northeast, bordering Kenya to the east and South Sudan to the north.

The journey can be very exhausting to drive directly to the park this makes it necessary to break the journey in two, that is Kampala to Kitgum and then Kitgum to the park. You will have stopovers along the way to stretch or for breakfast or lunch. During these stopovers, you will also have some time to take pictures in areas with good scenery.

Lunch will be in Gulu town and arrive in Kitgum later afternoon head directly to your room and then later dinner and overnight stay. Before heading to the park, you will be coming across some interesting events in which you can directly engage your driver for any information you may need to know.

Day 2 of the 5 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda Kidepo Holiday: Transfer to Kidepo National Park, Game Drive

On the second day of your trip to Kidepo Valley National Park, you will wake up to an early breakfast and start off with the 3 hours drive to Kidepo Valley National Park where you will embark on a game drive in the Kidepo Valley in the anticipation of seeing herds of buffalos, zebras, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, and cheetahs together with other animals of the jungle.

You will enjoy a slow drive and make sure the camera is ready to take some picture moments while on the game drive as you can have stops at any point you so want. You will take a break off for the day and head straight to the lodge.

While at the accommodation facility, you checked in during your stay you can choose to spend the rest of the day for leisure admiring the wilderness environment. Dinner and overnight follow.

Day 3 of 5 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda Kidepo: Game Drive

This is the busiest day of your trip and so a lot of activities are lined up to this day this includes a morning game drive and a cultural walk around the surrounding communities on this third day of our five days Kidepo National Park Safari.

Very early in the morning breakfast will do you a good deal before you hit the road. When breakfast is done, you will set off for another breathtaking and rewarding early morning game drive through the open savannah, rocky outcrops, forests, and rings of mountains in this amazing game park.

Drive extensively up to Kanangorok Hot springs and brace yourself for photo moments and chances of sighting more wildlife, especially lions sitting on the rocks as they scan the park for possible prey. Drive back to the lodge after this amazing encounter to relax and have lunch.

In the afternoon, head out for a cultural tour of the Karamojong people for a truly unique experience. The Karamojong culture is still pure and totally unique from most other tribes in Uganda. This encounter will expose you to some of the unique beliefs and cultural practices as compared to the rest of the other tribes in Uganda.

Day 4 of the 5 Days Wildlife Safari Uganda Kidepo: Game Drive and Transfer to Kitgum

After an early morning, we shall hit the road for another game drive. As they always say every stepping into the game park is a different experience. No game drive is the same in the parks as each game comes with its own unique experience.

Every day presents itself differently and with different sightings. You will spot as many wild animals on this game drive.

Return to the lodge to check out and transfer to Kitgum where you will have your lunch and spend the rest of the day relaxing with a soul-healing feeling from the game drive experience. It’s optional that you may return from the park and opt for Gulu and not Kitgum for a short night stay. Later have dinner and overnight

On the fifth day of your trip no much pressure, we shall have breakfast in the relatively early morning hours and proceed to Kampala with lunch en route arriving in Kampala late afternoon or evening.
